Me Before You – The Movie

Posted: March 14, 2017 in Romance

I finally got to watch the movie – Me Before You on Netflix. Last year when it came out, I was obsessed with the sound track “Unsteady” by X Ambassadors and it stars our very own Khaleesi from Game of Thrones, Emilia Clark..

I was all set for a full blown tear-fest with runny nose and the whole shebang that comes with romance and heartbreak. I am the typical movie crier, it was unthinkable, me not crying.

To My surprise, I did not cry! Nobody is more shocked than I. I had a tear roll at some cute sweet scenes. Totally unacceptable,  life as I know it has changed lol.

It was a beautiful movie by the way. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a good watch especially for the mushy types like me. The tracks in the movie were spot on, I loved how the main sound track was used during a crucial event in the movie. Most movies play their main sound track when the movie ends. This was more effective in my opinion.

By the way, guys it’s a nice movie for an indoor date. Thank me later 😉!

Alot of people seem to either not know or forget that their spouse is family. Even more family than your mother or siblings. The bond spouses have is more sacred and linked than that of those we actually share same DNA with.

You might say “yea yea we all know this”. I say NO, you don’t! You find people treating their husband or wife with so much contempt. Almost like an employee that a favour is being done for, so whatever crap is dished should be received as a privilege.

People have terrible, useless, shameful siblings yet they would defend, fight for and protect that sibling. But go home and get upset and practically threaten to move out because there is toothpaste on the sink, an empty milk carton was left in the fridge, there are dirty dishes in the sink…you name it.

If spouses sit and actually think about what marriage truly is, there would be a highly reduced rate of divorces. Marriage isn’t dating. You don’t pack up and move on because things are tough. Things are tough everywhere, in every relationship you would encounter challenges because every individual is an embodiment of diverse qualities and exposures.

You know how years after a couple have been together they start looking like each other, this is because they have given part of themselves to  their spouse. They even start sounding alike.

So how is it possible that people are willing to hide a corpse for their parents or siblings but find it so hard to tolerate, be kind to, support, show compassion to a part of themselves in the form of a spouse.

We run around screaming “I Love You” when it is all rosy and flame is burning hot. Love isn’t a feeling, that tingly thing you feel isn’t the “love”. Love can only be expressed through actions and words, leading to an equal and opposite reaction  (well most of the time).

Marriage on the other hand is a sense of duty. You do things because it is expected of you. You act a certain way because this person is a part of you. So When making decisions in marriage concerning your spouse, make it with the awareness of the decision being about you because you and your spouse are the same person. Do this and I promise you, you will lead a happy life, even in the midst of challenges.

I have not blogged in quite some time. Not because I lacked what to blog about but because, I was going through “self discovery”. How cliche of me you might say, but thats the truth.

Incase you are wondering if I found whatever it is I was looking for, sorry to disappoint you, but I did. Or if I didn’t I am not yet quite aware of it. But not to worry much about things I have little or no control over, lets jump right to it.

Alot of TV shows are on break or are at the finale. Its sad that audiences are going more and more impatient these days. We want to know how it’ll end, did the guy get the girl? Was the liar and deceit exposed eventually? Was the murder killed or arrested? Who is the person causing the issues?

Those are just a few things we ponder on when watching a movie or TV show.

Lets jump right into some shows and see what happened.

Just Kidding!!!! 😀 😀 😀

Treat your loved one to something Special/Sexy this season.

An Experience To Share

I’ve been having quite a number of things going wrong in my life. My partner has been getting part of the heat because the relationship seems to be secondary for me.

After every bad outcome I take drastic measures and want to be on my own. Part of my bad outcome includes not being able to support myself thus, moving in with my partner.

This recent strike got me really broken and I decided to do some arranging and packed up some of my things before falling asleep. My partner panicked the next morning, asking why and where most of my things were? I mumbled things since I was still asleep.

It was barely 10am when my partner returned from work which was a shock obviously. I asked what happened; apparently the early return was to make sure i wasn’t planning on moving out and leaving a note.

I planned to present this Kenneth Cole watch to my partner during a special dinner we had made reservations for in two weeks, since I’d been away for a little while.Mens Kenneth Cole Chronograph

I ended up purchasing a Chronograph Eco Drive Citizens watch which was a little bit above my budget  Mens Citizen Sport Chronograph Eco-Drive Watch CA0331-05A

How did that happen?

I excitedly mentioned having a surprise and the citizens watch was mentioned as a guess. lol

Luckily I had not yet made my initial purchase, so while I was about to, I found myself looking for an eco drive citizens watch instead.

That is how it happened. lol!
